The Return of Globe touring. After fierce negotiations Williamson Park are glad to bring the world famous Shakespeare's Globe Theatre's touring company back to Lancaster. The WinterÕs Tale Convincing himself of his wifeÕs infidelity, Leontes, king of Secilia, is driven into a jealous rage. Leontes is unmoved despite the entreaties of his wife and a proclamation from the Oracle of Apollo.
The disastrous consequences of Leontes actions reverberate across generations and national borders. Only his daughter, Perdita, left for dead in the wilds of Bohemia in her infancy, survives to redeem the tale.
Globe veteran director John Dove revisits ShakespeareÕs magical story of jealousy, love and redemption after his hit production of the play in 2005. This new, open-air version follows in the footsteps of last yearÕs Globe Touring production of Romeo and Juliet.

6th July Heartbreak Productions
Peter Pan A brand new adaptation of this world-famous story by JM Barrie about a mischievous little boy who, literally, will not grow up.
Peter Pan, a fierce swordfighter, spends his never-ending childhood adventuring on the island of Neverland as leader of the Lost Boys. This outstanding story features some fantastical elements: PeterÕs ability to fly, his best friend, the fairy named Tinker Bell and a source of both fear and humour, a crocodile that has swallowed a ticking clock who stalks the pirate leader, Captain Hook.
"When the first baby laughed for the first time, the laugh broke into a thousand pieces and they all went skipping about, and that was the beginning of fairies."
Unforgettable fantasy, magic, humour and sinister villains promise entertainment for all the family.

15th August 7.30pm Henry V Fast-paced and thrilling, HENRY V is rightly known as the heavy artillery in the Shakespearian repertoire.
From the battles of Harfleur to Agincourt, the play has an intensity of action that sees Henry V mature from the outrageous Prince Hal cavorting with the infamous bawd, Falstaff into a respected and worthy king.
Sometimes seen as a brutal blockbuster, this production promises to be bold yet sensitive, moving yet funny as it depicts an uplifting and pivotal piece of British history. Henry V is ultimately an inspirational and enriching story about the triumph of human spirit against overwhelming odds that will resonate widely and provide an outstanding evening of extraordinary entertainment.
