The Butterfly House will re-open on Saturday 13 February at 10am Opening hours: 10am – 4pm (October – March) 10am – 5pm (April – September). Price £4.50 adult £3.50 child £4.00 Concessions £18.00 family ticket. The Butterfly House can be booked for educational trips, please contact 01524 33318 for information. The Butterfly House Live exotic butterflies fluttering and feeding amidst the flowers, trees and vines in the tropical rain forest housed in the former Palm House. Walk amongst some of the world's most beautiful species, including brilliant swallowtails, and cleverly camouflaged Owl butterflies within a natural habitat. The pupae of new butterflies can be seen in a special display case and you may even see a butterfly emerging from its chrysalis! In the stream that flows around the forest you will also find a variety of lively fish. The Butterfly House is a popular destination for school trips, guided talks are available demonstrating the life cycle of the beautiful creatures.
